Last updated: 2026-07-23
This policy explains how Gagilang handles account information, learning progress, listening history, vocabulary records, private notes, imported media, and published content.
What we collect
- Account identifiers such as email, phone number, and linked sign-in providers.
- Product data such as language preferences, word levels, review history, listening progress, queues, likes, and follows.
- Creation data such as notes, uploaded or imported media metadata, generated subtitles, topics, and moderation records.
- Technical data needed to run the service, prevent abuse, and debug product issues.
How we use data
We use this data to provide the language-learning experience, sync progress across devices, personalize content, support safety review, process exports and deletion requests, and improve reliability.
Your controls
You can request an export from Data & storage, change notification preferences, update account identifiers, and start account deletion from Settings. Deletion enters a 14-day grace period before cleanup.
Regional compliance
Gagilang is designed to support GDPR and CCPA rights for access, export, correction, and deletion. China mainland deployment requirements, including filing and content safety workflows, are handled before production release.
